Old house, original woodwork, no free Saturday.
Why a city house eats a weekend
Syracuse cleans like a city, because it is one. Tall ceilings, original woodwork, deep window sills, radiator covers, picture rails, detailed trim — all of it holds dust, and there's usually more staircase than in a newer build.
Which means an older city house takes longer than its square footage suggests. If you've ever started at the top on a Saturday morning and still been at it after lunch, that's not you being slow. That's the house.
Renting one out, or between tenants?
Turnover cleaning comes up more here than anywhere else we work, because the gap between one tenant leaving and the next arriving is short, fixed, and usually lands on a weekend you'd rather have back. Student rentals run to a calendar everybody in the city already knows.
That's move-in and move-out work — cleaned empty, insides of cabinets and appliances included. Give us the dates early; the good slots in turnover season go first.
Offices, studios, and treatment rooms
The other thing the city has more of than the towns around it is small commercial space above and behind the storefronts. Offices, studios, consulting and treatment rooms. That's scheduled commercial work, done before you open or after you close.
Before you book
Tell us where we can realistically put a vehicle. Street parking and permit zones change block to block downtown, and it's the one detail that turns a straightforward job into an awkward one.

Just outside the town line?
Ask anyway. We cover the towns around Clay and Syracuse, and you'll get a straight yes or no rather than a maybe.
